As Turkey's largest towel exporter Bursalı, we continue to receive recompense for our innovative work based on R&D and innovation. The project proposal of our R&D Center named "Development of Textile Surfaces That Change Color in the Presence of Bacteria" was entitled to be supported in the EUREKA R&D support program.
We are happy and proud to receive support from the international EUREKA R&D support program, which supports projects aimed at developing market-oriented products and processes that can be commercialized in a short time.

About the project

As it is known, in recent years, many epidemic diseases, especially coronavirus, influenza, hepatitis, salmonella and monkeypox, have negatively affected people's lives. Especially with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic as a global problem, there has been an explosion in demand for protective textile products such as masks, gloves and aprons to protect against epidemic diseases. One of the most critical steps in fighting diseases is to quickly monitor the growth of microbes to prevent further spread of the disease. Our project is a research project aimed at producing biosensor-enabled textile surfaces for use in the medical field, with multidisciplinary participation, covering the fields of textile, chemistry and medicine.On the other hand, the project will be carried out under the leadership of Bursalı and the Swedish University of Borås will be the project partner.
